What composite bonding is

Tooth-coloured artistry, built onto your enamel

Composite bonding uses high-strength, tooth-coloured resin that’s layered and sculpted directly on the tooth. Edge bonding refines and evens the biting edges with minimal/no drilling. Composite veneers cover the whole front surface for a fuller makeover—often in one visit.

Minimally invasive

Usually no drilling of healthy enamel; material bonds micromechanically to the tooth.

Same-day results

Edge bonding and composite veneers are completed in one appointment for instant impact.

Shapes, closes gaps, smooths edges

Great for chips, short/worn edges, black triangles and minor spacing or asymmetry.

Natural colour-match

Layered tints and polish mimic real enamel for a lifelike sheen and translucency.

Refinable & repairable

Easy to tweak, repolish or repair chairside over the years without replacing everything.

Planned digitally

Mock-ups and smile design guide shape and proportion around your face and bite.

What composite bonding can improve

Subtle edge tidy-ups or full-surface changes, bonding lets us refine shape, symmetry and shade with minimal prep.

Composite Bonding FAQs

What is composite bonding?
A tooth-coloured resin is layered and sculpted on your natural tooth to refine shape, length, symmetry and small gaps. It’s minimally invasive and often no-drill.
Edge bonding vs composite veneers, what’s the difference?
Edge bonding tidies specific areas (the tips/sides) for subtle refinement. Composite veneers resurface the whole front of a tooth for fuller changes in shape, colour and alignment—usually completed in one visit.
Will my teeth be drilled?
Often no drilling is needed for edge work; if we do adjust, it’s a light, conservative polish to help the material blend and bond.
Does it stain or feel bulky?
Modern composites are smooth and polishable. We finish to a high gloss and show you the result from all angles so it looks and feels natural. Routine polishing during hygiene visits keeps it fresh.
Is it painful?
Treatment is gentle and usually done without injections. If your teeth are sensitive, we can numb locally or use desensitisers for comfort.
How many teeth should I treat?
It depends on your smile line and goals—anything from a single chipped edge to 6–10 teeth for a broader makeover. We’ll map this during your consult and show a preview.
